Copyright (DMCA) Policy

Version 2026-10-07, effective 2026-10-07. All legal documents

[Operator name] respects copyright and responds to notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. section 512).

Designated agent

Our agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office and our postal address are pending. We will publish them here when they are complete.

We do not publish an email address. Send a notice with the copyright notice form and a counter-notice with the counter-notice form. Neither form accepts files, and we send no email, so keep the reference number it gives you.

A notice must be in writing and include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is enough);
  2. a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
  3. where the material is on Kids Display, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the organization, the item title, or the link you found it at (do not link to material that is itself unlawful);
  4. your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed, or are authorized to act for the owner.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. section 512(f)). Please consider whether the use might be a fair use or licensed before you send a notice. Your notice, including your contact details, may be passed to the person whose content it concerns.

What we do

When we receive a complete notice we may disable access to the material and notify the organization that uploaded it, with a copy of the notice and instructions for a counter-notice.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. a description of the material and where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed because of mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where we can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We pass a counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person tells us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action against you, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We end the accounts of users and organizations who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances. We count a notice that we act on and that is not reversed by a counter-notice as a strike. A person reviews accounts with multiple strikes before an account is ended.

Other reports

Content that is not a copyright matter, such as the content described in the Acceptable Use Policy, is reported using the report form.
